How does it work?
Allison conducts her sessions over FaceTime. When you make an appointment via Calendly, you will provide your number and Allison will call you at your desired appointment time.
If you do not have FaceTime, please email allison@allisonbornstein.com prior to the appointment so we can send you a meeting link.
A lot of clients have done The Closet Editing System prior to their appointment because it helps both the client and Allison get a sense of the work that needs to be done.
What do I need to do to prepare?
Nothing! You can do the Closet Editing System or not. You don't need to purchase a rack or even take items out of your closet. Just have an idea of what you want to show Allison and what you want to get out of the hour.
What does a typical appointment look like?
A typical appointment looks something like this:
- Show Allison your "REGULARS" or "go-to" looks.
- Give Allison a quick tour of your closet (no need to clean up or get a rack, this is just to get a sense of your personal style!).
- Show Allison any items that you don't know how to style (your HOWS?") and Allison helps integrate them into your wardrobe.
This is, of course, just an outline. You can also come with a list of questions, ask about a particular event, or Allison can make some more everyday "go-to" looks for work/weekend to take the stress out of getting dressed.
Can I record the session?
Yes, you can record the session and take pictures, too. Some like to try on the looks during the call and others like to just lay them out on the floor or bed to save time.
What if I need more than an hour?
You can book two back to back sessions or email us and we will figure out a time for you. Many clients like to break it up. For example, book an hour session and then book another hour a few days later after you've tried some of Allison's suggestions.
What if I have to reschedule my session?
If you need to reschedule, we require at least 24 hours notice. Please use the “reschedule” link on the received calendar invite to reschedule your session date or time. If you have any issues, please email allison@allisonbornstein.com, and we will assist you.
What if I have to cancel my session?
Unfortunately, we do not allow session cancellations, but you may reschedule your appointment for another time.
